『研究がビジネスの役に立つわけ』 "Why Research Is a Good Training for Business" 研究とは閉鎖的であり、 ただ科学を研究し、結果を得るために努力し、発表する目的止まりの科学的活動だと考えられる。 これら全ては本当かもしれないが、研究に従事することで科学に関係のないもの、さらに重要なこととして、 私達自身の性格を形成することを学べるということを私達は見落とし、理解していない。 研究をすることで、考え、努力し、諦めず、そして前向きな姿勢を取ることを学ぶことができる。 この姿勢はビジネスのような挑戦に対して理想的なものである。 Research is often boxed only as a scientific activity where we learn just Science, work hard for results, aim for publications and nothing more. While all these may be true, we fail to see and appreciate that being in research also teaches us many non-scientific things and more importantly, it builds our character. Research teaches us to think, to work hard, to never give up and to remain positive despite challenges. This attitude is perfect for many endeavors like getting into business. アイビィ・グレース／Ivy Grace U.
