2012 Venture Awards - Dow AgroSciences

Dow AgroSciences develops leading-edge crop protection and plant biotechnology solutions to meet the challenges of the growing world. Dow AgroSciences purchased more than 150 acres of land just northwest of Ames to be the site of an expansion and relocation project. In March 2011, Dow AgroSciences opened a new 29500 sq. ft., $10 million facility and relocated the company's central Iowa field research sites near Ames, to accommodate their growing corn and soybean breeding programs. Currently the operation has 23 full-time employees with expected job growth as plot fields increase next year. Dow AgroSciences was nominated for the Venture Award by Midland Power Cooperative.

This is how Capitalism radically differs from other eras in history. The need to satisfy people's needs is submitted to the need to generate profits for a minority of people. Sinds deze datum bepaalt EU-regelgeving dat gezondheidsclaims bij voedingsmiddelen en voedingssupplementen in de meeste gevallen niet meer zijn toegestaan. Je mag nog wel over de werking van supplementen schrijven, maar daarbij geen producten aanbieden of op enige manier (direct of indirect) verwijzen naar producten. Om deze reden heeft de website www.earth-matters.nl onlangs tijdelijk haar activiteiten gestaakt. Is dit daadwerkelijk aan de orde of wordt de codex wellicht verkeerd geïnterpreteerd En al zou het wel zo zijn. Moeten we ons dan de mond laten snoeren? Of gaan we in verzet?
